This woman, and mom, dxd SPS and morbidly obese. Lost her weight after a stroke, and took up Cross Fit and then competed in a handicapped competition of weight lifting: We might not do CrossFit, but, it is thought provoking of how we might do adaptive things to partly return to something we enjoyed with respect to movement—- unclear if the SPS dx was correct. She didnt respond to any treatments and did not mention her blood work on GAD65:

Longitudinal study of SPS shows it worsens over time. Gold standard treatment to delay worsening includes IVIG and muscle relaxants.

These are articles about MMJ and its use for medicinal reasons. They use the example of “Claire” with SPS who uses MMJ for pain.

The second article goes into many medical conditions, including Claire’s SPS further down in the article.

It is hard to know exactly what helped this man. Reading the article, I think it might’ve been a baclofen pump. I will try to learn more by seeing if I can contact the journalist who wrote the article.

I found the man on FB, and tried to message him, but couldnt without friending him first. So I did that, but likely will not hear from him as I am a stranger to him...ideas?

I also suspect that he has a Baclofen pump.
