See, I went to bed early, and missed all the conspiracy theories about poor Howie and his two alia....cough....cats.

Rose, that camera needs a battery and the film thingy. I will look on Amazon and get those items just so I can prove to you I am hu...hem...hum...just like you.

Virginia, telling the FBI will do you no good. All three of us work part time for them. Sam and Seven handle cat burglar cases, and I go after illegal alie....uh....foreigners.

Agate, I only eat the Tootsie Roll MINIS. Individually wrapped, bite size, filled with that chocolate goodness we have all come to know and love. I think I'll have one now with my coffee.

Well, I have a list of things I have to get done today, plus mail my bills. Have a great day, and don't forget your green card.

The "film thingy" is called a memory card. See, I've been on Amazon looking for what I need for my digital camera. Instead, I'm just going to get a new one. One made for kids. I'm better suited for something simple.

But I need to wait until I need something else to get the free shipping. I wish I had added it to my coffee maker order, but who knew? Oh, that gets here Friday.

I got everything done for the day, I even made coleslaw.

Hmmmm... tootie roll thingies... I don't have any of those right now, but the next time I go to a store that sells them, I'm buying a LARGE bag. I still have red raspberry tootsie pops, though. Thankfully I'm the only one here who likes them.. oh wait, Taelor has stolen one off of my table and ate it. Now I keep them in a place he can't reach them. When I buy the large bag of Tootsie Roll Midges, I split it with my teenager. Honestly, two separate zip lock bags and one has MOM written on it.

I hope my middle son gets up here before the weekend, I'm out of coffee and going to Costco via the bus is a pain in the rear because all the walking from the bus stop to the entrance exhausts me. He finally got a job and is currently in the process of filling out and submitting the paperwork.

Now I'm waiting to hear when I'll get my power scooter.

I wonder if you could order non perishables through Amazon. That service would make the Prime membership worthwhile!

I always get free shipping from Amazon but haven't signed up for Amazon Prime. There didn't seem much point in paying $132 a year when I could always get free shipping by just making sure I always ordered the minimum amount for free shipping. If I need to order something that doesn't cost enough to qualify, I add a few things that I'm going to need soon anyway, even if it's just memo pads or dental floss.

You do have to watch the order closely because some items don't qualify for free shipping.

And the free shipping you get with Amazon Prime is faster.

Amazon Prime is $99 a year. It comes w other benefits that we do not use.

I thought it was in the area of $90/year but when I went and looked, the Website says $10.99/month. Maybe it depends on what part of the Amazon Website you look at or what offer you're considering.

You can pay by the month and that makes it more. If you pay a year at a time, it's $99. That is up from $89 when we joined last year.

Yes, by the month is more expensive. It's $99 for the year. If you do a lot of on-line shopping you'll find shipping rates on other sites to be anywhere from $6 up! I shop a lot at Amazon, and would otherwise spend the $99 on shipping (from other sites) in the first month!

I use Prime for movies and TV (free...not current programs, but programs that I otherwise wouldn't search out, or don't have that particular cable channel). And movies -- I haven't been to an actual theater for years, but watch movies on my Kindle all the time. And free books -- you get one free book a month, from a choice of 4-5. There also are occasional book sales for prime members. And then free fast shipping with purchases. Yes, there are a lot of food items available through Amazon, and the Amazon grocery store. You do have to fill a box at the grocery store to get free shipping, but I always fill it with stuff like toilet paper, or paper towels that are bulky to carry around a regular store, anyway. A prime membership can be extended to include anyone in your household that uses the same Amazon account, so in my case Tom Cat can order and get free shipping, too. Even Consumers Reports, which is pretty picky, says the Amazon Prime membership is a good deal.

"Mrs Palfrey at the Claremont" is one of the films I watched free because I have Amazon Prime. It is a gem of a movie and I spotted it on the NYTimes best ...there are so many great films for free on Amazon Prime that I never purchase anything.
                          I watch on my iPad.

When you do watch something, if you scroll down the page you find what else people watched who watched the film you are viewing. You can even watch this year's oscar movies for a fee. Amazon video is making its own programs and there is one now called Z about Zelda Fitzgerald. Stars Christina Ricci and is excellent.
