July 5 - a holiday. I hired a young man to power wash the stuff (I've forgotten the terms) on the outside of my condo - the gutters, window frames,, deck, - stuff like that and he's here and working. It's expensive but will be so nice to see the dreadful mold gone. It's a noisy job and I worry that it will scare the cats. They don't need any more fright.

Too bad you have to have this done, jingle! But once it's done, you'll enjoy knowing it's been done.
I sometimes put cotton in cats' ears during noisy times. Sometimes it would fall out, but otherwise it helped.SPMS diagnosed 1980. Avonex 2001-2004. Copaxone 2006-2009. Glatopa (glatiramer acetate = Copaxone) since December 2020.

Thanks agate.
Poor cats .... while that nice man was power washing the house two adults with two children arrived to bring me a birthday cake. Half an hour later a lovely young woman arrived with her tiny baby to say hello. My goodness -- there was a lot of noise and confusion and that's after all the fireworks last night. The power washing is still going on but the cats are napping.
I wish I could join them.

jingle, you mentioned a birthday cake. Does that mean that you had a birthday on the 5th? If so, belated happy birthday!
Is the power washing done?
They power wash this building every now and then. Having to keep the windows shut all day is a nuisance, and it's noisy. Hope you and the cats can rest easy now.SPMS diagnosed 1980. Avonex 2001-2004. Copaxone 2006-2009. Glatopa (glatiramer acetate = Copaxone) since December 2020.

Hi agate, My 77th birthday was July 1. Thank you for belated greeting. Those friends arrived to surprise me when they were able. The really good and really noisy job of power washing was all finished in less than one full day. The washer was just doing the outside of my tiny condo.
And today some nice, young lady will be here to clean the inside of my place!! I am so happy about that. The nice lady who used to do that retired about 2 months ago and I've been trying and failing to get things done myself. She will be here just one day a month but that is a great help. I'm a lucky person.

Whew -- I got up and turned on coffee pot (I fill that every night so it's ready to go in the morning). It ran for a minute or two and turned off. Over and over I turned it on after it turned itself off. Oh, good grief - that pot is dead.I changed my pjs for clothes and sped to Walmart under a very threatening sky, got my new pot and sped home. The new pot is working on a load of vinegar, then I'll run plain water. Eventually I'll have some coffee.
Last night we had pretty severe storms - wind and hail. More storms are due very soon. I'm happy to be home safe with the cats and eventually some coffee.

Thank you, Ann. Your large blue print is wonderful!!
And I've been waiting and waiting for a box of new KJV Bibles and they just arrived. I like to know Bibles are available
at church so if visitors don't have one, we can give them one. Now I have 4 nice, new ones to take to church tonight. Wednesday is Bible study.
