    Fried Cabbage -- Delicious!

I made this yesterday and will be making it again.

    Fried Cabbage

This fried cabbage is delicious and super easy to make with a few ingredients. It comes together in less than 30 minutes!

    Servings: 4 Servings Calories: 160kcal
    Ingredients
5-6 thick bacon strips Cut into small pieces
    1/3 cup onion Finely chopped
1/2 head green cabbage shredded or roughly chopped
    1 tablespoon brown sugar Optional
    Salt To taste
    Pepper To taste
    1/4 tsp Smoked paprika
    Instructions
Cook bacon in a non-stick pan over medium heat until crisp. Use a slotted spatula to remove the bacon and place it on plate. Do not discard the bacon grease and drippings!
In the same pan, add onion and cook until translucent.
Add cabbage, salt, pepper, paprika and mix everything together. Cook for about 7 minutes or until cabbage is tender.
Add bacon back into the pan and mix it together with the cabbage and serve warm.
    Notes
    - You can also make this side dish vegetarian by omitting bacon. Make sure to use 2-3 tbsp unsalted butter. - Leftovers can be stored in a sealed container in the fridge for up to 2 days.

Ooohh sounds like you just made one of my favorite dishes better. I was just lamenting the fact that I do not have a cabbage. I will have to try with the paprika.

I do not like paprika so I used only a tiny dash. And I used just a tiny dash of brown sugar. I plan on making this recipe over and over again … it is so-o-o-o good.

You can turn it into a main dish by adding a package of cooked ramen noodles and a package of frozen peas and carrots. Fast and yummy.

I will definitely try to cook a dish according to your recipe. I love trying new things. Whether it's a new hobby or a new food, I always enjoy expanding my horizons and experiencing new things. So when my friend recommended that I try kava, a traditional drink made from the roots of the kava plant, I was intrigued. Trying something new is always cool.
