On Thursday, January 30, 2014, from 5:30 - 8 p.m., FACES and the Comprehensive Epilepsy Center will host the evening's Peace of Mind Lecture - Memory Treatment - presented by William Barr, PhD.

Join FACES at 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. for a pre-lecture social, an opportunity to network with other FACES friends. Light refreshments will be served. The lecture will begin promptly at 6:30 p.m. and conclude at 8 p.m.

The lecture will take place at the NYU Medical Center, Farkas Auditorium, 550 First Avenue, New York, NY 10016

About the presenter:

William Barr, PhD, is the Chief of Neuropsychology at the NYU Comprehensive Epilepsy Center and an Associate Professor of Neurology and Psychiatry at the NYU School of Medicine. Among his clinical duties include neuropsychological assessments, Wada tests, and brain mapping procedures on patients undergoing surgical treatment for epilepsy.

He also specializes in neuropsychological assessment of patients with memory disorders resulting from brain injury, dementia, psychiatric disorders, and medical illness.

His primary research interests include memory and other aspects of cognitive and behavioral functioning in epilepsy.
