I originally posted this info before the new boards were set up. I decided to post an updated version here, in order to reach more folks. Not many of us have even heard about it, but it literally affects hundreds of thousands of people. Things are still going on, and it's not too late to become a part of the tort claim--if you were exposed, if you are just now finding out about it, and if you are having health issues that may be related to your exposure.
If you worked on-board or lived at Camp Lejeune NC at any time from the 1950's up until 1987, you were potentially exposed to drinking water containing various volatile organic compounds (VOCs). These include tetrachloroethylene (PCE), trichloroethylene (TCE), vinyl chloride (VC), and benzene. Hundreds of thousands of people have already registered for the tort claim.

Here are two sites referencing studies that link trichloroethylene (TCE) exposure to PD -

This has been going on for quite some time, but it's not too late to get involved.
