Default How can you post to the TOS forum?

I was a member of BT for several years and then faded away for a while. Wow, things have changed. I was referred to BT by a physician as a means to share information on TOS. The new forum DOES have a Thoracic Outlet Syndrom area, but you cannot post to it, instead it refers you to the archives which does ho have any new posts. My question is this: Why is there no "working" TOS forum? I may be looking in the wrong place, but would love to be pointed to the right area if that is the case. Any help is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Ken

    Welcome back to BT, Ken,

The Thoracic Outlet Syndrome forum is almost at the bottom of the list of forums. When you click on the "Forum" tab in the high upper left corner, you will see a list of forums. Scroll down 3/4's of the way down the page and you will see the TOS forum. Here is the direct link to it, just click on this:

I see that the forum hasn't been busy in awhile. To start a thread, click on the blue "+Post New Thread" tab in the upper left hand corner of the page. Title your topic, type your statement in the proper place and post it.

Since the forum hasn't been busy in a while, you might also want to post in another forum if you have a specific question. Perhaps the "Chronic Pain" forum or another busy forum might get you started faster.

    Once again, welcome back!

It's really easy to put someone on ignore and it's strongly recommended that you do so with people whose posts you don't like.

    Step 1 - log in
Step 2 - click on the "settings" link
Step 3 - click on the "edit ignore list" link on the left side of the screen
Step 4 - type (or paste if you copied and pasted it) the username of the person you want to ignore
Step 5 - click the "ok" button on the right of the screen

One important note though, this won't hide quoted posts. It's an oversight on the developers part and it's not an easy thing to "fix." So if someone quotes someone you have ignored, you'll see the quote.

Alternatively when you click on a person's name and view their profile page, underneath their avatar, there is a option that says, "Ignore this person". Click that link and then click the yes button.

    Welcome back :)

There has been only one post on the TOS forum since we moved hosts. That's why it looks like it directs you to the archives, the only post in that forum is a sticky post with a link to the archives for reference.
Question: Why can't I post links or pictures?
Question: Why can't I have a signature, avatar, or profile picture?
Question: What's wrong with my account?

Answer: You are in the "registered users" user group. This group is very limited in what it can do. This will annoy spammers to no end Just keep posting once you have been registered for 30 days and have made 11 posts your account will be "unlocked".

Easy peasy and will lower your blood pressure. One important note though, this won't hide quoted posts. It's an oversight on the developers part and it's not an easy thing to "fix." So if someone quotes someone you have ignored, you'll see the quote.
