It's good to be open to new ideas.

However, I have questions about articles that contain links to products to buy, particularly if the products are being offered by the authors of the articles and the people in charge of the Website.

Abby, I don't intend to be hurtful. But there are a lot of people out there trumpeting cures for diseases--and we have to be cautious about which ones are truly interested in getting good answers and which ones are more interested in some agenda of their own.

This is not new as all of the references that are quoted at the end of the article are over 10 years old. Other books have been written about the same subject. I wish it were true but I would like to see more recent studies on this connection. I do believe in taking probiotics when one is on an antibiotic as the antibiotics kill both the good and the bad bacteria.

How does anyone avoid taking an antibiotic when we have multitudes of bacterial infections which have to be treated such as UTI's, bronchitis, sinusitis, pneumonias, etc.? Those can be life threatening. I too question when the authors are selling their books and supplements without having done clinical studies but are using material from others which is referenced as proof of the theory and it is just a theory. JMHO

I do wish it were true as we would have an answer as to how to best treat MS.....There would probably be no harm except to your bank account if you wanted to try it yourself.

    Morning Ladies

    Agate

Even the big newspapers are selling something on every page

It is something worth looking into. I know I was treated for this in the late 90's.

And our people are to smart to buy snakeoil ni matter how desperate they are - at least I am

Gabriella7 you say its not new well it was for me and besides review is good

Whatever works for you. I have no special scientific training or expertise. One person's opinion is as good as another's here so far as I can tell, and that was just my opinion.

In a way any doctor is "selling" something. You go to a doctor probably looking for help with a problem, and the doc offers some treatment or prescription (or tells you to go home and forget about it, maybe). You can either "buy" that treatment or prescription or not. Any doctor is selling his/her remedies.

But linking to products being sold in what looks like a scientific report is a different level of selling and one I'm not so comfortable with.

But if you don't mind this, as Gabriella says the only harm might be to your pocketbook.

(Sometimes even that pocketbook harm can be considerable. People with MS often need to pinch pennies.)

    Default Treatment

Abby, Since you were treated in the late 90's.....which of the fungus illnesses were you treated for...if you don't mind me asking? Where you treated for the most serious mycotoxicosis illness or for the more common candida albicans? It would make a huge difference in the outcome and what part it would play in your diagnosis. These fungal properties can actually be a biological weapon or the normal result of antibiotics causing an inbalance in the body which results in vaginitis. Also, it can be caused by mold in your house, food, or other environment.

Just wondering as there have been a number of doctors who have written books and articles which claim "fungus" can cause a huge number of illnesses. I have read a lot of them going way back to Dr. William Crook's "The Yeast Connection" 1983, and this one was before the biological weapons were ever written about. I was researching and hoping to find an easy solution to my illness.

It's normal to seek answers just don't be too quick to jump to conclusions....
