Sorry to hear you and Caitlin are having these issues with her behavior. Couple of things came to my mind while reading your posts. Do they know that Caitlin's behavior is linked to the seizures or is she using the seizures as an excuse to behave badly? If it is the seizures do they cause her pain that would make her angry? If bad behavior is a side effect of her meds maybe you can switch the meds to something without those kinds of side effects. If she is suddenly not liking PT maybe they are doing something that is too intense or causing her pain so you might want to see exactly what the PT's are doing to see if there is reason behind her complaints. Is there any chance that Caitlin is going through puberty and is about to get her period? I act like a total jerk when I'm on my monthly cycle sometimes so that's why I'm wondering if it could be that.

As to the baby shower book idea when my friend had her baby Evelyn I got her a book called "Prayers for blueberry girl" and wrote the poem inside the book. Maybe you should write this poem inside the book too.

Personally, I think it is either the meds or that the seizures make her feel crummy and lash out. When the meds are working, like whenever we increase them, we have a 'honeymoon' as they say, of a few weeks where she is great...which is her 'usual' self. Though I can't totally rule out puberty! I was 12 when I got mine and I still have them horrible (tmi? lol!), mood swings, cramps, etc. She is 11 1/2 now so that could be making things worse potentially. I will definitely mention these possibilities tomorrow. :) I'll have to look up the poem tomorrow when I have more free time (trapped in the hospital room)...tonight I have to pack, laundry, make a list for Brian and finish up the invites...hoping I can get to bed before 2 in the morning!! :)

Some girls get their period at as young as 9 years old so certainly something to look into.
