Thread: New to the forum, not to the problems!

Default New to the forum, not to the problems!

At the invitation of Mike Weins, I've joined this forum. My name is Ronda Giangreco and as someone who is grappling with the challenges of MS, he thought that my journey might give some hope to those who are facing similar issues. I've written a book entitled "The Gathering Table" (available on amazon) that details my year of dinner parties as a means of living full with a serious illness. I have heard from so many folks that my message resonated with them...that holding on to what is unique and special to you is the key to living your life fully in spite of your health issues.

If anyone would like to talk to me about my crazy pasta & wine "cure"...please feel free to post/email me. I can be reached at thegatheringtable@hotmail.com

I also pen a free email newsletter that goes out each month with recipes, stories and fun facts. If you'd like to receive it, just sign up at my website www.thegatheringtable.net

I look forward to connecting with many of you here. Thanks!

    welcome to bt ronda !

i have always believed that letting an illness define who you are as a person is a hard path to take when you are trying to live fully and positively everyday!

we all have obstacles to deal with in life, every person goes through rough times. living with hope and optimism for the future seems the only way to go for me. i can "imagine" your dinner and wine parties with your friends. no doubt laughter and love had as much to do with living a full life with a serious illness as the food itself!

i congratulate anyone for the determination to carry on and find the joy in each day no matter what problems they are facing in their lives.

may you find your stay at bt to also be filled with laughter and friendship!

Hi Ronda welcome to BT :)
Question: Why can't I post links or pictures?
Question: Why can't I have a signature, avatar, or profile picture?
Question: What's wrong with my account?

Answer: You are in the "registered users" user group. This group is very limited in what it can do. This will annoy spammers to no end Just keep posting once you have been registered for 30 days and have made 11 posts your account will be "unlocked".

It's really easy to put someone on ignore and it's strongly recommended that you do so with people who's posts you don't like.

    Step 1 - log in
Step 2 - click on the "settings" link
Step 3 - click on the "edit ignore list" link on the left side of the screen
Step 4 - type (or paste if you copied and pasted it) the username of the person you want to ignore
Step 5 - click the "ok" button on the right of the screen

Easy peasy and will lower your blood pressure. One important note though, this won't hide quoted posts. It's an oversight on the developers part and it's not an easy thing to "fix." So if someone quotes someone you have ignored, you'll see the quote.

Alternatively when you click on a person's name and view their profile page, underneath their avatar, there is a option that says, "Ignore this person". Click that link and then click the yes button.
