Newcervie ~ I thought I was the only one who's arm went cold when typing! I haven't got a clue why it does! It doesn't hurt -- it just goes freezing cold! I do have a disc herniation in the neck so maybe that has something to do with it -- I don't know . That acts up once in awhile, and I always have a headache. LOL But I've had a headache for the last 40 years. LOL Stress. Anyway, nice to know I'm not totally alien, but I wish YOU didn't have that problem too!

Had the day from He@# yesterday -- In the morning, granddaughter had a doctor's visit that lasted from 10:30 til 1pm. Then we left at about 4pm to go to her counseling session, and got home about 7:30 and had to head to her school where she had to sing a solo for a Valentine's day program they were putting on. So I was on the road ALL day, and the old back just about killed me. LOL When we finally got home at 9pm, I promptly laid down on the couch. Bringing up a teenager at MY age is pretty stressful. LOL If it doesn't keep me younger, it will kill me. LOL

Hope everyone is feeling better today. I'm going to even if it puts me in BED. LOL Hugs, Lee

Julia, I hope you have sweet dreams and I will be looking for you in the room soon.

Newcervie, thanks. Sorry you have so much trouble when you type. I am sure it comes from cervical spine problems as I get some of the same symptoms too.

My wife has been down with lumbar pain for the past couple of days. She foolishly tried to go to work this morning but was back in a half hour. She has meds and is doing better but still feeling the pain. Of course what she complains about the most is being bored which she never really fully understood when I said we needed to be together more in the evenings because I was lonely. As I have said she is getting better at understanding what I need and has worked on coming down to the basement with me. I got the SUV back yesterday and even though I don't drive much it is nice to have it back. It sits up high so it is easy for me to get in and out. Penny got me some dark chocolate truffles for Valentine's Day. Not much we could do today with both of us suffering from back pain. I went to the dentist to finish up getting all 7 of my small cavities finished. The dentist and girls working couldn't believe I don't need novocane but it doesn't hurt as bad as my back does all the time so there is no need for novocane.

Leeaelle - I wasn't expecting that there would be a vascular problem with the arm but looking back it does explain a lot. Over the years, they've documented a 20+ degree difference between the arms at various times. Yours could be related to the nerve in the neck as nerves cause the muscles to tighten leading to reduced blood flow. Mine is clearly not c-spine related (nerve distribution doesn't correlate with the known neck issues) and they see the constriction on the artery. I need surgery but just not ready to go that route especially with a toddler who won't understand that I can't pick her up.

Mark - Sorry to hear that your wife is experiencing back problems but it also opens her eyes to what you experience everyday.

As for me, I hope I follow Julia tonight and get some sleep. I've managed to only get a few hours of sleep for the past several days.

A quiet sleep day for me. Penny has been back to work for two days and is moving much better this evening. Other than that I don't have anything else as I have been out of it today.

Mark - Glad to hear that Penny is doing better. It's a quiet day for me, too, as I'm really tired as I haven't been sleeping well.

    Hello all,
Think this be short. I've been in terrible pain. Yesterday had seizure followed by sudden tiredness which means stroke. That was mid afternoon, headed for bed and slept til this a.m. and I'm still very tired/in pain/fibro not letting up. Thankfully SO getting supper. Things been in turmoil here w/SO, not helping. Scanned posts but don't remember except cold hands which I can relate to; mine always like ice. "Turmoil" has had me losing 10 lbs so trying to eat as much as possible, drinking ensure. Getting one of my fave meals tonight, filapilos. Can't wait. Kitty had one helping, begging for second. BTW, Congrats Mark on the coming of 2nd grandbaby!!! Much excitement in both households!!! Fantastic news. Take care all, hoping your pain at minimum; sleep well tonight. hugs (gentle) to all.........kat (meow)

Not much from my side as I have been sleeping most of the past three days away. Kat sorry to hear about the increased pain and the seizures. Take care of yourself the best that you can. I know with sleeping so much this past three days I haven't eaten enough or drank enough water. It is difficult to keep up with our health when we aren't able to do much. I feel like I will be up today so I hope to eat well and get back on track. Yes it is exciting news for both families and it will be fun to see how Emery deals with all the changes coming up. At least she has two sets of grandparents to spoil her any time she is feeling left out:).

Kat - Sorry to hear about the increasing pain and seizures.

Mark - glad to see you're getting some sleep. Can you send some my way? For some reason, I haven't been sleeping well for the past week or so.

As for me, I got some disconcerting news this week. In preparation for the impending surgery on my left arm, I decided to revisit my doctor and have them look at a joint on my right hand that's been bugging me for years. She sent me to a hand specialist thinking I'd just need a cortisone shot in the joint. He took an x-ray and found another bone tumor right where I have a lot of pain. So now, I'm in the waiting game of more tests.

newcervie, if I could send some sleep your way I have some extra to let you have. Sorry to hear about the new tumor in your right hand. I hope they can remove it without much trouble and that it isn't cancerous.

I have been awake for a long time now so I hope to get to sleep soon and it would be great to get back to sleeping at night and being up everyday like I did two years ago for eight weeks. Whatever the magic formula was I wish I could get it back as it made me feel so much better despite the pain. Sleeping so much like this week without food or drink made today tough but I am trying hard to sleep tonight. Darrin came over and we cut off four poles to use for the legs of the work bench he wants to have. He will be over tomorrow with the counter tops we are going to use for the top and shelf. He wants to get wheels for the bench which I have on mine as it makes it easy to move around for different projects. Today was a decent day despite not feeling too good. I hope everyone is having a good day.
