    Hi,

I had to stop in to wish everyone a Very Merry Christmas!! And a Happy New Year, if I don't get back with you. I've been so busy and feeling pretty good. I hope I find that everyone is the same. I went back to school. One of my classes was a literary class. I had so many papers and other work that it kept me from wanting to write on the computer at all.

I have a good Doctor and a great psychologist and am doing better then I have in years. Taking a bit of medication and a big unit of vit.D but I'm thinking more clearly and am able to keep up with my classes. Can't ask for more then that.

Please know you all have a place in my heart and you will never be forgotten.

I hope you all get everything you ever want this year!

Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas, I am starting to get back to normal, had my surgery on November 30 it was suppose to be outpatient but the doctor says it took longer that they expected and made me stay overnight, it took a while to star moving again and I am finally almost back. The Hyster has triggered some menopause symptoms such as hot flashes and insomnia, but it is getting better now. Hopefully once I am back to work in the middle of January and gt back to normal the insomnia will disappear, my doctor said she does not like to prescribe medicine so told me to go see and acupuncture and herbologist doctor she knows to threat the symptoms naturally, will see.

For now I am getting ready to go celebrate Christmas eve with the extended family and enjoy some Christmas time and the birth of Christ with my girls, hubby and parents tomorrow. Everyone have a nice and save holiday and hope that everything turns great on your side of the woods

    Default Merry Christmas to all!

    hey everyone!

It's snowing in the "D". a good omen for the coming year!

i'm leaving soon to go to the airport and pick up my daughter from new york! she is getting a bear hug from mama bear!

dee! congratulations ! i'm so happy you decided to go to college, that your doc and psychiatrist have got your meds in order and you're feeling great! what a blessing! i remember your post earlier this year about depression. you did something about it! the only person you can change is yourself! ((((hugs for dee))). i hope you're coming back, because that "i'll never forget you all" sounded like you weren't gonna be back here...but i think not! tell us what you're studying for....i'm just so happy for you!

bella, i'm happy your surgery went well, also. they almost always keep you overnight if you have insurance. a hysterectomy is a serious operation, they don't want to mess it up by sending you home before you can go to the bathroom or if you have nause.

pati, joy, julia, chris (i haven't see chris on facebook except for one day. i hope thing's are okay with her), jan, mal, where are you dawn?, sly (so happy you're back!), where is leo?, fig, jingle, ging, mrsjerome, karen, clouds, lor, bob, bella and dee...and if there's anyone i've missed, i'm doing this in my head and i've had a glass of wine! forgive me...merry christmas to all of you and thank you for sharing and caring here the past year. you are all unique and special people to me and i couldn't have gotten by this year without you!

thank you all for sharing and caring ,
    jeannie

ha ha!! Cheat sheet! Brings back memories of when we would do the quick go round bout ourselve just to keep the newbies and the many of us with memory problems, yes speaking for myself here, reminded but it has been so long it definitely is due. Fantastic idea.

First let me apologize for being absent so long. Friends I'm sorry, unfair. Really struggling to be happy. Brain just constantly nagging at me and my pain is a constant ball breaking companion. Okay i dont have any but dangit i should. So doing a bit of self preservation.

Quick cheat sheet info, Christina, 47 yr old mom to two great boys, 11 and 20, wow so strange to say, long time engaged to a great guy who puts up with a lot of crap yet treats me like I'm the most beautiful woman in the world. We have two dogs one a 3yr old Dorky named Brody (Daschund/Yorkie) and our newest addition a sixteen week old boy Daschund named Dash.

Diagnoses, gads where to start, Bipolar Type II, severe anxiety and severe situational depression, Fibromyalgia, Arthritis worst in feet and ankles, Migraines, hypothyroidism, chronic bronchitis, IBS, monitored regularly for cervical cancer, constant pain. 12 outpatient surgeries since 2001 on what seems to be the stupidest things. Spent years on the med roller coaster and finding there is little I can take to help control my worst issues. Clean and sober for 13 yrs though i did start smoking marijuana 2 years ago for foot and leg pain and discovered it does wonders for my anxiety, IBS, and migraines also. Love to read, watch movies, love me some good horror and not the lame slasher kind. Love to garden and craft though I have become limited in some of my abilities. Been here since about 2004 but lurked then it disappeared and I came back in 2006? and been here since.

Update, ugh, I will try to keep it neat. shortcake went from being an honor roll student in fifth grade to failing sixth. Expected some low grades due to transition but we are in third quarter? and he has been lying about his work. Encopresis is worse than ever, we started probiotic and even more fiber and going to add lactaid twice a day. Changing his gastro, last was an idiot with his carbohydrate allergy, come back and see me in six months based on almost nothing except a colonoscopy and a breath test that was one point above normal range. So we changed our pasta and bread and milk and are planning on seeing a pediatric specialist who of course specializes in these kind of issues. More and more research I do the more common I am finding it to be and it almost always resolves itself. Not waiting for that mind you. Considering starting him in some serious therapy, any ideas folks?

B is still in Georgia though no longer with his father who I am absolutely thrilled to find my son has discovered just what a truly sad loser his dad is and I never had to say a word. No grown man stands drunkenly in the middle of the street in broad daylight screaming at his son that he wished he'd never come down, that he is worthless and on and on as the entire neighborhood gazes on in disgusted disbelief. Brandon was more the man and walked away in sick amusement. Nothing I can do from here except make sympathetic noises.

BUT....I did drive down to Georgia the 12th of this month all by my little self in our NEW CAR!! to see him and his new family and made it back about 2 a.m. that Sunday morning. (Jo you have no idea how close i was to diregarding your note and coming anyway but there will be other chances) He has a girlfriend, very sweet southern girl with three small children whose daddy is a psycho woman beater, her brave enough to break away only to find herself in the middle of even worse family drama brought on by a conniving pill junkie mother. They are hiding now in a trailer that would have been razed if anyone was found to be residing in it here. I wanted to burn it down and bring them babies home with me. No furnace, unpotable water and a bathroom floor I almost fell through while I was there. It is temporary and moved into in a hurry. Their own first place and B is playing stay at home dad with an autistic 4 yr old boy and two small girls 5 and 6. She has a good job but hasn't been at it long enough. Enough, lots more there but later.

Jeannie I haven't been on Facebook much lately cause after I got home from B's it was like a mad dash to get the house ready for a 2 family Christmas party on the 22nd that has been long time coming. Well 15 yrs lolol. Decided it would be easier to have everybody here instead of traveling from place to place with a planned menu and everybody to bring something and figured I kinda owed cj's family since they always host the parties. Not to mention shortcake has family he knows nothing about. so it was some of my family and some of CJ's. About 30 people incuding about 11 small kids and three teenagers. What the heck was I thinking. Waaaay more stressful!! It'll be another 15 yrs before I do that again. Maybe one at a time but not both lolol. That's okay it's over and it was a smashing success. So of course the next day I feel like crap and it has just gotten worse. Sore throat, chest congestion, stuffy sinuses, serious Fibro pain, so I have been in bed for 5 days. Today I finally had to get up an do something cause this bed is killing me. I sure had fun coming down and staying with ya Jeannie. Hopefully we can do it again. Maybe I can pick you up on the way down to see Big Queenie, maybe in the spring. You hear me there Jo? Lol.

oh my I have done it again. This is by no means quick. But I did want to shout out to you Dee and say that I am absolutely thrilled that you are doing so well. It has been a long time coming. As for the rest of yous.....I'll be back. Lol soon.

Why thank you sweet Patti for the "Happy Anniversary" We were both kinda puny, probably from Christmas. When we are up to it we plan to take a little trip some place.

Christmas was nice, all grown up's, they all helped themselves to lunch, cleaned up their mess.*Happy

Then little Ryleigh and her 10 yr. old half-sister came with Ryleigh's parents. What joy that little thing gives me. All the grown ups were in the floor playing with her. lol

I stayed seated. When Israel said it was time to go home little miss got behind my lounge chair and wispered things I had no idea what she said, but I listened, smile, I sang Away In A Manger to her and she tried to help.

She would not go out the door with parents. She wanted to stay with ME! Precious child. Someone scooped her up and sat her down in the porch. She started blowing huge kisses to me. People all around her and she looked straight at me and kept on blowing those kisses. Yes, Christmas wasn't like it had always been, but it was enjoyable. OK. I'll stop bragging now, but that child makes my heart happy.

OK lil queenie, I do wish you had just come on up on Sat. I thought so much and wished I had told you to come anyway. I cried, whole bunches of tears.

Christina, I asked Jon how far Jeffereon was to him and he said about 20 MILE!~! So, I can drive 1 hour and be waiting for you when you and Jeannie and get to Brandon's house.

I'll rent a hotel or motel and we can visit and you can visit your son and if Jon is at work we will go to a fancy place and I'll treat you both. Sounds good? Maybe we can get Joy and fly Patti out too. Oh what fun we could have. Is it a date? It is with me.

    I love you all, Julia
Did you ever know that you're my hero and every thing I would like to be I can fly higher than an eagle
'cause you are the wind beneath my wings

    for my brother Ben

ugh really sick today, worse even then when I first started getting sick on the 23rd. Been in bed pretty much since then. Out of the house maybe twice since. Thank God CJ has been off work. He won't be called back to GM until April but a lot of people really liked his work so we are hoping sooner.

I tell ya I am real happy with the Mucinex I have been taking. My lungs started getting full which irritates my asthma and my wonderful newly diagnosed chronic bronchitis starts flaring, no help with my smoking, the Mucinex helps to clear out my lungs better and helps with my nose. I am going to make an appt with my doc to try something different to quit smoking. Maybe the same way I did before.

He has been doing his automotive in our driveway, well now that a car fits in the garage the last one was worked on in there, and collecting unemployment for now. I just can't figure it, he is a genius with vehicles. I mean absolutely phenomenal but anywhere else and he is an accident waiting to happen. I have to leave the room when he picks up a steak knife because I can't watch. He has hurt himself so many times in bizarre ways that it is a standing family joke. He picks whatever tool or utensil up and there's a collective groan as we take a step back. Unless he's working on a car. Wonder if he's the RainMan of auto repair lolol.

Dang it Pati I can't find your post about falling and hitting your head. Is there anything I can do at my end to make it easier for you to read my or our posts. I am sure you are using your special settings on your computer. I hope you are doing better.

Big Queenie I had your place all mapped out. All I had to do was continue east on 85 but when I turned north I sobbed on and off until it got dark then I was a nervous wreck lolol. I was pretty much halfway there and my map said about an hour and a half between both places. I should have followed my heart on that one. Honey let me come to you. You guys don't need to be getting so far out and wearing yourself thin. I don't give a hooey about your house and maybe i or we could get a room somewhere in between you and Brandon and meet somewhere by you. Actually Brandon and his family are working on getting back up here to get rid of her psycho family. So that would give me the time to devote just to you lolol. We will be seeing each other. Happy belated anniversary, I use to remember these things. I am glad your Christmas turned out so well. Your children should be doting on you. We all made sure that those like us who have a bit of trouble getting around were present and comfortable.

Sly I'm so glad you're here and stick with us. I hope your hubby gets better. I'm afraid to go on cause it seems I can't type reader's Digest versions. So I will save some for next. I speak dog most of the day and between them and Cj I am lacking some intellectual stimulation lolol. Gotta love him.....yep muchy

    hey everyone !

we had 7 inches of snow fall the day after christmas, our part of the blizzard streaking across the midwest. i shovelled my sidewalk's and driveway and part of the neighbor's driveway so they could at least see where it was and get a running start through the snow.

i'm happy your christmas day turned out nice, julia...and what a little sweetheart that ryleigh is !

chris, sorry you're feeling so sick . it has been so cold here, i don't think we've been above freezing for about 10 days now. we're supposed to have a few days of above freezing temps starting tomorrow and then back into the cold. at least it is sunny today. pati, i hope you're feeling better and you too, joy and labella.

i'm going to donate blood today at our church blood drive. there is a priest there who has leukemia and they're having it for him. i took an extra iron pill 2 days ago, because i don't eat much meat and you can't give blood if your hemoglobin is below a certain level. before menopause, when i was an apheresis (blood platelet) donor, that's the most frequent reason they didn't let me donate...my hemoglobin was too low. then i got smart and started taking iron the week before i was supposed to donate and that worked out well.

i've been reading a book the past week and i started riding my stationary bike about a month ago. i also got a kettlebell for strength exercising. it's a 10 pound metal ball with a handle on it and there are 4 simple exercises to do with it. i started doing that earlier this week and my leg's hurt so bad i was sleeping with a heating pad between my thigh's at night. so, i think i'm going to gradually work up to doing those kettlebell exercises , cause they certainly work on your leg muscles. i am still doing my hustle class and a friend told me she thought she saw a church offering zumba classes one day a week.

i got a reciprocating saw for christmas from my son. i asked for it so i could trim those lilac bushes down later this winter and get them back into shape. i could never have sawed so many (i have 3 bushes) limbs with just a hand saw. these lilac's are seriously overgrown. i also got a certificate for an hour massage and a shopping spree at tjmaxx from my daughter.

i'm going to become a great-aunt next summer! my brother's daughter is having a baby. it's the first baby of the next generation of the family. my daughter who live's in new york is going back to school to become an occupational therapist. she should have her master's in 2 and a half years.

i hope more people start coming back here. sly, a drive-by "hi" is just fine. we all just want to know you're okay. i am worried about dawn...does anyone have an email for her? she hasn't been here for a few month's (10/25/12, i looked) and the last time she was here, she was talking about being depressed.

    stay warm!

thank you all for sharing and caring ,
    jeannie
