Somewhere I've seen SPS called Moersch-Woltman syndrome. I see that Moersch and Woltman are mentioned in the article.
SPMS diagnosed 1980. Avonex 2001-2004. Copaxone 2006-2009. Glatopa (glatiramer acetate = Copaxone) since December 2020.

Yes, that was it’s official name. Wish it still was because when I say Stiff Person Syndrome, people say, Yeah, I get that when I wake up.

You could always call it Moersch-Woltman anyway. Since people don't really know what stiff-person syndrome is (but think they do), why not really mystify them by giving a name that will stop them in their tracks? Then you can say it's a rare neurological disorder causing spasticity and stiffness--or whatever explanation you can come up with describes it but avoids the use of "stiff-person syndrome."
