Default My head hurts when i touch it.....

is that a sign of anything? It almost feels like the right side of my head has a bruise on it. I did not fall or hit my head recently so that can not be it.
I did have what i thought was a migraine for about 3 days--and now this tender pain. Of course i am a hypochondriac with every little head symptom I have; Last spring was my most recent MRI and the bugger was only about 5mm then, so the neurosurgeon said there is no way it could be causing any symptoms. Now with this pain I am think I might have hydro.
Does anybody know what it could be?

That does seem odd, but I don't know how it could be related. Hydro is fully encompassed beneath the skull, within the brain, isn't it? I don't see how your head hurting when you touch it could really be related?

Could anyone in the upstate New York area recommend a neurosurgeon and hospital outside of the Syracuse area who would have considerable experience with colloid cysts and their removal?

Hi cgreen

I am in the UK so please forgive me if this is miles away for you ...but if you go to Facebook - there is a group called Colloid Cyst Survivors

There is a very recent post from a boy of 12 who has just had an endoscopic removal at the Presbytarian in NY...There is even a pic of him with his N/S smiling away after the op!

Hope this helps!
Nat

I can relate. The side of my head hurt to the touch as well - my left side - near the temple and up the side of my head. My progression of symptoms was swift. From diagnois to surgery was less than 2 months for me. I am almost 2 months post op and that left side pain that was painful to the touch is gone. Good luck. David
