Unhappy Future Horizon Founder's son Alex Gilpin dies :(

I am stunned and saddened over this! I just went to the site to see about registering for the conference in July and found a note about a memorial service for Alex. He apparently died March 30, though there was no information on why. I think he was about 23 yo. http://www.futurehorizons-autism.com/

WOW, OMG! That is terrible. No parent should ever have to outlive their child. My prayers are with the family

Unhappy Yes very very sad news.

Yes I was very very sadden by this news. I had the privialge of hearing Alex and a group of 4 other young adults with autism/aspgergers speak back in 06.. I went to a Autism conference in Kansas City MO and heard Temple Grandin and others speak. and I was very very impressed with the question and answer time with the young adult panel. Alex was so very impressive and awsome young man. I was given hope on what all he had overcame with his autism.

My condolences goes out to the family and the auitsm community..
