Here's one from the national institutes of health on the medical efficacy of marijuana in treatment of epilepsy and other movement disorders.

The above, is a posting by jcc. This is a VERY interesting interview, about PYROLURIA as an underlying cause for SEIZURES, with Dr. Bonnet. I really enjoyed reading the interview!

When I was 18 months old, I was diagnosed with Right Mesial Temporal Lobe Epilepsy. My seizures were never under control with Anti-Epileptic Drugs, they were just less severe.

It wasn't until last year, when I was 28 yrs of age, did I finally get the proper diagnosis. . . PYROLURIA - a severe vitamin deficiency of vitamins B6, Zinc, and Aracadonic Acid (an Omega-6 Essential Fatty Acid).

Now, my seizures are completely under control.

I have eliminated several food allergens from my diet:
All Grains
Sweeteners
Food Dyes
& Alcohols

I make sure I eat pleanty of:
Potatoes
Vegetables
Fruits
Meat (Eggs, Beef, Chicken, Turkey, Clams)
Juices
Water

I also strictly adhere to a program of prescribed dosages of Vitamins, along with prescription Anti-Epileptic, Anti-Psychotic, Anti-Depressent drugs.

As long as I stick to "THE PROGRAM". . . I feel great!
No seizures, crying-spells, insomnia, mania, depression, OCD, memory loss,
"I can drive, now, too!"

Take a look at the posibility of PYROLURIA as a root-cause of seizures.
I'm sure glad I did.

here is the link to the book Conversations with Neil's Brain. This is a book about a guy who is going to have brain surgery. He has a lot of conversations with his doctor as he figures out what part of the brain does what. You also get a glimpse into brain surgery and what goes on. http://www.williamcalvin.com/bk7/bk7.htm
