Default OT BIL died in a car accident last night

I just got a call from my wife that her oldest brother was killed in an auto accident several hours ago. My strong faith will get me through even though my intellect struggles to understand. My wife wouldn't let me come over to hug her and hold her but I hope she doesn't think she can do this alone. He was a good guy and saw the good in others. It makes you wonder why some of the best of us are stricken down.

My faith tells me I will not be able to understand the purpose in recent news about my brother and BIL even as my intellect struggles with understanding. Thank you my dear friends as you need to know how important you are in giving me this place to turn to for support and understanding.

Mark, you seem to be living under a shower of s[p?]it lately...

You and your extended family have my sincere condolences and my continued prayers.

I don't know why, but the following quote just came into my mind:

Gene, thank you for the note and the wise quote from your father. I know you have seen your share of grief the past couple of years but what are you going to do, just keep moving on is all we can do.

An update and correction, I found out the call late last night had a few of the facts mixed up. My BIL and his college age son were out riding their snowmobiles late last night over open fields. He hit a ditch and was impaled on the snowmobile. I worry about the ramifications for his son, he will always have the imagine of seeing his father die. I was always worried about them riding over open fields because they didn't have a course to follow. They had a couple of bad accidents but it didn't deter them. This will be really hard on my wife's family.

I went over this morning to see my wife and she is holding up so far. She tried to keep me at arms length but I told her I needed some affection with the double whammy of her brother and my brother. We will have a six hour drive in front of us soon.

Mark
One minute you're breezing through life, the next minute trouble is coming at you from every direction. You don't have to look for it. It finds you soon enough.
Lets hope this is all a precursor for a sustained period of health and happiness for you all.

Mick

Geeze Mark, I too don't know what to say. You have so much on your plate right now and yet you remain strong. Hang on to your faith to get you through this. I wish there was something we could do or say to make you feel better. I think you need some hugs too my friend!

((((((((((MARK))))))))))

I know it's not the same, but it's the only thing I can think of. Know that you have many friends here who care very deeply about you and all that is happening in your life right now.

Melanie, Linda, Sims, & Mick, thank you my friends, it is nice to know I can turn to you and get the support to help me through.

I just hope my BIL's tragedy doesn't turn into a double or triple tragedy. His son needs to get some help to work through watching his dad die [he doesn't know it yet] and my SIL is shaky about dealing with this. I just hope the one tragedy is enough.

Sorry to hear about this horrible accident, Mark. His poor son... What an ordeal that must have been. My best to you and yours.
