Default OT brother is dying

It is a good thing I have a strong faith and an even keel about living life as the 'good' news keeps rolling in. I got a call from my mother that my youngest brother [ younger one died a year ago] has less than a month to live as his lung cancer is too far gone. I really feel for my mother as this is her second son to not make it to 47 years old. At least my wife's behavior will be out of my mind for a while.

about this, in, the past. I apologize for not spotting it, if, you have.
I can't believe, all of this is happening to you, at, once!
Granted, my sister & I aren't close, but, I know, I couldn't handle
anything happening to her!! Please, know that you & your family will be
in my daily thoughts & prayers.

He has been fighting this for a bit over a year but it has been hard to keep up since he has hidden it from us most of the time.

Gloria, I know your husband and you are going through this too and I hope he is thankful for the loving spouse you are.

Linda, Gina Marie, Shanti, and Phyllis, thank you for the condolences. I knew this day was coming and have had time to prepare. My only regret is that I wish he had been around more to share with the family but I know his talents led him to the east and the financial field, something that would have been hard to do here in Indiana. He lived life clean and hard enjoying what he was doing.

Mark,
as you may recall I lost my sister to cancer in 2005 so I have some Idea what you are going through. It's a sad, sad time especially for your poor mother.
In the last few weeks before my sister died, we had some bitter/sweet moments sharing reminiscences of our childhood and even some beautiful moments when we laughed together remembering some long forgotten incidents in our past and I have some very positive memories of those last days.
My thoughts and prayers are with your brother and you and your family as you help each other through this difficult time.

Mick

Thanks Mick, I remember you talking about your sister. I hope my brother at least lets my mother have some of those moments. He has been secretive about his condition not wanting to burden anyone. I talked to him this past summer and tried to get him to call me from time to time as things wore him down but he wanted to keep it too himself which is how he has handled it. I just hope he let's our mother have more opportunities to share some memories. He has children that are still at home [their mother's home] and I know it is really tough on them.
