Bottom line; It is possible for someone like you who has obvious excess income to have a pending SSI claim or a pending windfall offset issue that is holding up the release of your retroactive benefits. If you did file an SSI claim, you should have a copy of it with your initial application paperwork and the ALJ should have addressed the SSI filing in your fully favorable and you would have the paragraph in your award letter addressing it.

Is there an SSI windfall pending indicator on the MBR? The TSC can answer that question. If there is, action needs to be taken by the payment center, sometimes with the assistance of the field office. I know this because I am the person in the FO who gets all these phone calls.
No never applied for SSI...I was told in the begining I would not be elligable..
The only thing they said it could be held up in something called "signatures" do to the amount.

I have Allsup and I'm still waiting.
Disabled 7-04. I should have filed sooner, but no advice. I was on STD and then LTD thru work. When there was a plant closure I was offered a layoff but I would have to rescind my LTD. That's when the HR rep told me that I should apply for SSDI and that they send the people whose LTD runs out to Allsup. It would have been nice if someone had suggested my applying sooner. I worked less than 3 months (in small pieces), all on rediculously light duty, in 2 years. the rest of the time I was out on LOA, or calling in sick and trying to not get fired for attendance issues because my FMLA had run out. Then I hired Allsup 7-06. Currently trying to get an OTR decision instead of waiting for ALJ.

After all this, I hope Allsup gets good reviews. I have been happy so far, but then again, I have no results yet either.

Well called again today...And this time the lady said everything that the guy said a week ago was done , wasn't...I told her that how come everytime I call I get 100% different take on where my claim is...She put me on hold for about 5 minutes she said she wanted to read the whole thing...She came back and told me she could process this claim her self...Said she was from Level 4 and that it looked like everything had been done for some time and that she had just completed a case and she could do mine...She said I should see the funds in a week....NOW WAS SHE LYING? I have heard every exuse in the world with these people...She may be for real...She actually told me its all in luck ON WHO ANSEWRS THE CALL AND WHAT THEY ARE DOING AT THE TIME..

I'm just glad to here someone is collecting. Was put out of work in 04/00 for the second time in less than 2 years for seizures, migraines, and to many medication side effects on the job . Was unsuccessful finding a new job for over a year because I would no longer hide my epilepsy before I got hired so I decided to file for SSD in 05/01. After 2 denials and appeals I had a hearing in front of a judge a year later. The judge ruled against me. Said my seizures where controlled "enough" and I was exaggerating the medication side effects and to go get a job. My lawyer at the time sucked. He never opened his mouth during the hearing. He told me there was no appealing the judges decision, it was over. I believed him, how stupid was I. Thanks for letting me vent!
