Default Roll Call - October 2006

Braintalk Roll Call

Anne thought it might be a good idea to have a Roll Call over here too Thanks Anne!!

It's beginning to look a lot like...Thanksgiving. At least it does on our dining room table.

As most of you know, Peg started a new job, a full time job. Something that she has not done since after I was sick [gosh..that's around 5 years...].

So, because she's working more...that's means I have to work more too...around the house. Yesterday I was stripping in the bedroom....uhhh...the bed that is. heheee More cooking [which I don't really mind], more cleaning, more unloading the dish washer, etc. Peg is enjoying her new job. Of course the doc has been gone on vacation this past week, so it's been pretty dead.

Things have been well here. I have been having a good sized flare in my PN sx's. A magnitude of which I have not seen since all this really started bothering me in 2001. The past few days have been pretty good. Not sure what's going on. And for those of you that are asking...nope, still just casein reduced. I have been watching my corn too.

It'll be interesting to see how things shake out in the discussion board arena.

Since I suggested a roll call for this forum guess I better speak up

Summer was busy with trips to see my son, my sister and DH's family. Still have to get to Seattle to see my other son. Next trip is to the International Celiac Conference in New York in November.

Home today cause I don't feel well. I don't think it is gluten. It may be citric acid. I used a can of tomatoes last night. I have stayed away from citric acid recently. Possibility that I need to avoid CA because of my yeast sensitivity - not a gluten issue.

Curious how things will turn out between the two forums Not sure where I should post Guess I am really waiting for all the old data to appear.

I am here, but still confused.

Yes, I'm watching, too. Data restoration, communication, how concerns will be addressed, etc.

I think if the prevailing attitude is "if you don't like it, leave it"... without hearing the valid concerns of many valued members, I will be very disappointed.

Communication is as big of an issue to me as data restoration, I think. I may not have the exact identical concerns as others, but I feel rather strongly that there should be a means for two way communication on issues that people are concerned about. I do hope JL sticks around long enough to engage in some real dialogue on FF.

I'm already experience the slowness that exists here. I did not experience at BT2.

Being split is difficult.

Well, I'm back too, but I had to re-register to get on and post.
I'm hoping things kick up again. The resources here were fantastic.

WE are hoping that all of our back posts will be restored. I did create The Gluten File as a website (see the post by rose), but we are still missing so much more!

I had to re-register too--been trying since yesterday to sign in. It would let me try 2 times and then tell me that I had no tries left and would have to wait for 15 mins. Well, tonight I decided to re-register--here I am!!! Deb

Glad that you made it in Deb. There were some glitches in the registration process yesterday. I got caught in them too.

I've been thinking about the data restoration...

Since JL's re-entered all the forums in by hand, they will all be renumbered. We were forum#141, now we are #152. So, all the post old posts have to be linked to forumId 141. All of the forumId's would have to be changed from 141 to 152. A single SQL command could be issued to do the REPLACE, but gosh - what a mess piece together all this info. Then multiply that by how many forums????? Hmmmm then there's the User Id (who created the posts), those would have to be re-worked too. Plus whatever else.

I'm just glad it ain't me that's gotta piece this back together!
