If you want to lose weight and stop or reduce the sz. just try the ketogenic
diet it's similar to the atkins diet only more strict. Cut back on the carbs and starch foods and eat foods high in fat and the ketones will build up in your system causing loss of apetite and sz. will reduce and in many cases stop. Go get yourself a cheesecake, bacon, ham, butter, olive or canola oil to bake with along with heavy creams, whole milk, steak, roasts and you will see the weight start to drop. Don't forget the popcorn with real butter just stay away from the pastas that's what really hurts along with potato chips, and breads. I've had 54 fewer sz. this yr. so far compared to last yr. It's well worth it to me. Here's wishing all of you well and May God Bless You!

Sue

I used to say I wonder when they'll make some sort of topomax diet pill. I lost 20 lbs. in 4 months.

Pokette, I always wondered how all those can be good for you. I thought you'd Gain weight with that.

Check with your doctor before taking any OTC diet pills. In the past year, I lost about 17 lbs. Nearly passed out a couple of times. Had a 5 hour glucose tolerance test, at hour three I dropped as low as 38 and nearly dropped myself. Found out I have "Reactive Hypoglycemia". A new notch to my med alert bracelet.

Keep in mind that the ketogenic diet is very tough on the kidneys.

I was told in no uncertain terms not to try it due to the fact that I have had kidney cancer and no longer have 2 fully functioning kidneys.

There is no confusion in it that exercise is best to loss the weight but it is really important to note that we can't get the results without the use of the supplements and medicines.

Lor, I had similar effects with Zonegran. It cost me close to 1/4 of my weight in less than 2 months. My other meds levels shot up like a rocket making me toxic.

I know off label Topa was being used for weight loss. I can see the same thing for Zonegran.

Yeah Travis, Topomax simply makes you not interested in eating. I used to forget to eat. I'd be online & it would be about 2:00pm & I'd remember I didn't eat yet (except for my morning coffee).
